1. Although there are a large number of videos from which to choose, why do I just purchase “sessions” or “views”?
Answer: Not everyone will need all the videos listed for training in your company. You just purchase “views” so you’ll have access to any video, rather than just a few video titles.
2. Why would I want to use this video over the Internet, when all I have to do is purchase a DVD and can use it as many times as I want?
Answer: You can do that, but one DVD will cost you over $100 and you will then only have that one video topic in which to use in your training. You could have a wider choice of video titles and have 166 “sessions” or “views” for the $100 you would spend on one DVD. You can decide which is best for your organization.
3. How do I know if my internet connection can view the videos without buffering, starting/stopping, etc?
Answer: You go to the home page and watch the short demo. If this demo plays well, the other videos will play well.
4. After I purchase “views”, how do I access the videos from which to choose and play?
Answer: During the purchase phase, you will obtain a USER NAME and PASSWORD. Log into the system and pick and choose what video titles you want to show for your group training.
5. How do I know when all my views are used up?
Answer: We generally will notify you when you have only a few views left. You can then purchase more before you run out of training views. If you run out of views, simply purchase more.
6. Interactive training. How can I get the video, with Interactive test questions and administrative tracking?
Answer: Contact Digital 2000. We have many options and all are priced lower than any other vendor.
7. What kind of written materials are available for FREE downloading, that can be used in my training?
Answer: There are complete safety manuals, booklets, tip sheets, Questions and Answers for each video topic and Leader Guides. We also have Spanish language Questions and Answers for documentation of training. Some of the “manuals” are offered in our catalog for over $95.00 each.
8. Are these “views” available for individual training?
Answer: Yes. We have priced the views so trainers can use these “views” anyway they need, to train all employees. Quite often, after a group is trained, there are always employees who could not attend the group training (vacations, on duty, etc). Additionally, should an individual experience an accident or injury, the “views” can be used to retrain the individual and document the retraining.
9. Why can’t I get these “views” on my IPAD? Answer: Apple does not support FLASH, which is what most companies use to provide streaming video. We are working on the different files, which may allow us to support the IPAD and new tablets coming into the market.
10. When others are selling this type of streaming video for much higher prices, how can you charge so much less?
Answer: For 25 years, we have provided low cost safety training to businesses, to grow our business. 50 years of safety experience tells us although an organization may be large and profitable; the safety budget is not unlimited. By selling a quality product at the lowest possible price, we make up the difference in volume.
11. If we own the copyright to company owned videos that we want to have available, is this possible in your system?
Answer: If your company has produced your own videos, contact us to see how this can be accomplished. Purchasing a DVD from a company that sells DVD’s does not give you the right to copy, change format or place then on the Internet, in any form. Many companies (and individuals) have been fined serious money for copyright infringement.
12. In small organizations, you may not have a Safety Manager, so where can we get some recommendations on what training is required for our organization?
Answer: Generally, you can follow our recommendations on the requirement for General and Specific Hazard training. For a program to be judged “legal” or meeting OSHA requirements, as well as avoiding local prosecutions, you should train in the General and Specific Hazards to which an employee is exposed. Additionally, each organization should have a system of enforcing safety rules (discipline, safety counseling, etc). Documentation of the training of each employee is required. In other words, you must prove the employee received the proper training and your safety rules have been enforced equally among all employees. There are requirements to have written plans and programs, of which most are provided in the free written materials.
13. Are there any other video companies offering this service at these prices?
Answer. No other vendor in the world offers this service at these prices. Netflix offers entertainment videos for less money, but not safety training programs. They can do that by the large volume of millions of consumers and they purchase the bandwidth for such service at tremendously discounted prices. |
